Strictly Come Dancing bosses have increased security after celebrity cast and dancers received death threats

According to The Sun, bosses at the have teamed up with a number of private security firms in an effort to provide around-the-clock protection for stars.

The news comes just days after Strictly star Mike Bushell and his partner Katya Jones after being saved by all four judges in last week’s dance-off.

Mike survived elimination yet again as Viscountess was axed.

The sports presenter opened up about receiving a flurry of vile messages from trolls, who also targeted his wife.

‘I tried to report it but they deleted the tweet and deleted the account,’ he told the Daily Mirror. ‘Often you go onto these accounts and they’ve only got two followers.

His dance partner Katya following the abuse she received.

‘I’m off social media; it’s not real,’ the dancer said before adding: ‘For me, it’s real what we’re doing with our dancing and performance. There’s no need for negatives.’

Producers on the show are willing to provide extra security and protection to those who feel they need it.

New judge Moti Mabuse was also the when it was announced she was joining the show this year.
